Electric Kitten is a truly refreshing
hosting company. We offer superior reliability and
performance, such as 99.9% network uptime and
round-the-clock monitoring of system hardware. We also
update and upgrade our network and servers to retain our
high standards. All packages and servers have daily, weekly
and monthly backups and are equiped with the most advanced
Web Control Panel for our clients to have full control over
thier content. We also have no daily bandwidth limit, like
many hosts.
Below is a breakdown on our new
datacenter. Electric Kitten does not own this datacenter. We
simply picked the best on the planet to host your needs.
The Datacenters network architecture
utilizes the Enterprise routing and switching engines from
Juniper and Cisco. We utilize Juniper M20 routers as border
routers, Cisco 6500 series switches in our distribution
layer, Cisco 6500 and 5500 switches in our aggregation
layers, and Cisco 3500 and 2900 series switches at the
customer layer. Our network is fully meshed and redundant
with 8 backbone providers. Our current network consists of
UUNet (GigE), Sprint (GigE), Level 3 (GigE), Global Crossing
(GigE), Verio (GigE), Time Warner (GigE), Allegiance Telecom
(2 x GigE), and AboveNet (2 x GigE).

The Datacenter offers complete
redundancy in power, HVAC, fire suppression, network
connectivity, and security. With over 35,000 sq ft of raised
floor and 15,000 sq ft of static free tile. The datacenter
facility sits atop multiple power grids driven by TXU
electric, with PowerWare UPS battery backup power and dual
power generators onsite. Our HVAC systems are a combination
of glycol, chilled water, and condenser units by Data Aire
to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with 8 managed
backbone providers. Twelve more third party backbone
providers are available in the building via cross connect.
Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system
including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) with
over 600 smoke detectors.
The Datacenter features keycard locks on all paths to
sensitive areas, as well as motion-sensitive closed-circuit
cameras throughout the premesis. All visitors to the
datacenter must check in and out of the facility at the
front desk with a government-issued photo ID. Look below to
